To promote efficiency and cooperation across levels of government, the National Association of Counties Research Foundation, the National League of Cities and the National Conference of State Legislatures have teamed up to develop the Government in Action learning series.

Building from this series, We Can’t Do It Alone helps state and local leaders identify common challenges and actionable strategies to strengthen alignments between state, county and city governments and coordinate prenatal-to-three (PN-3) agendas in their communities.

This resource explores:

• PN-3 authorities and levers at each level of government

• Strategies for each level of government to advance healthy births, supported families and high-quality care and education

• Real world examples of intergovernmental coordination around PN-3, and

• Strategies for state and local coordination in PN-3.
